Nana, the figurehead for the Cutty Sark, was inspired by the witch in a short shift, Nana, who pursued Tam O' Shanter over the hills and fields. A last leap over a river by Tam and his horse left Nana stranded with the horse's tail in her hand. The Cutty Sark clipper was the fastest clipper in the world in her time.
