The day of the conference came, after weeks of preparation - perhaps not quite as many weeks as would be desired. The speakers were outstanding - new insights and inspirations for us all. New connections were made and the ground prepared for new initiatives. What emerged from the day - children's rights need more respect. A children's playground is a sacred space. Children lead the way when it comes to creating community space. Children experience time differently - something easily forgotten by us when we live our busy lives as adults. A two month project to create a community play space can seem an eternity. Play is a life long practice, so can we as adults maintain our creativity and regain this sense of timelessness in our lives?
